Fine Art | Figure Drawing: New Works

I have been drawing and painting since childhood, deeply influenced by the visual traditions of my Polish family. I studied fine art and French at the Marchutz School of Fine Art in Aix-en-Provence, France during my time at the University of Illinois, where I developed a classical approach to drawing rooted in observation, form, and light.

My practice centers on figurative work: life drawing, portraiture, and the human form. I work in charcoal, graphite, ink, and oil. I find the discipline of drawing from life to be deeply meditative, a counterpoint to the fast-moving world of communications that has defined my professional career.

In 2014, I exhibited oil paintings alongside my mother and grandfather at Klub Kultury in Warsaw, Poland, in a show that honored three generations of artists in one family.

Today, I continue to draw regularly in Warsaw, attending life drawing sessions and returning to the figure again and again as a subject of endless complexity and grace.
